Between The Knot, Wedding Wire, other bridal magazines, and online advertising, the options for photographers to market through are endless, and EXPENSIVE. What works? What is worth investing in?
We just want the truth! And the truth is, you have to dissect your ideal client. What do they search online? Where do they spend their money? Where do they spend their time? All of these things will help you determine where you should invest your hard earned money to attract the type of clients you want to work with.
Us? We don’t pay for advertising.
We have learned that our ideal clients work with other vendors we love, hire a wedding planner and most importantly, cherish the experience of planning a wedding! So we decided to find a way to reach these ideal brides without spending an arm and a leg. Our solution was the one move that helped us secure our 2016 season, and book more weddings for the next year than ever before! We reached out to the wedding planners we love and who’s style we felt comparable with, and sent all our goodies! A box full of our pricing magazines, coupons for their brides, and sweet treats from a local bakery. Who doesn’t love cookies and coupons?! We also sent these branding packages out to our favorite venues we want to work with more often. This allows us to directly connect with vendors we want to work with, and hopefully, get their stamp of approval to their clients!
Connecting with vendors has been a key part in helping us connect with brides. But it doesn’t stop with just sending out our packages. When we work with vendors we love, we want to make sure we make an impression that lasts! We work hard, over deliver, and go above and beyond. Sending photos to the vendors after the wedding has helped us spread the GTB name more than any other advertising platform! Within 48 hours we deliver a sneak peek of images to the bride, but we also send the folder to the wedding planner and other vendors. This allows them to get excited about their recent work and share with their followers!
